A little about the teacher. My name is Lori Collette. I have been teaching for 20 years, with this being my eighteenth year in the Branson School District. I have teaching certifications in Elementary Education, Special Education and Library. I have a Master's of Science in Educational Technology through Missouri State University. I have taught special education, 4th grade and am in my 10th year in 1st grade. First Grade is a truly special year in that the students are like a sponge. They learn at an amazing rate. I think of kindergarten and first grade as being the foundation for which all other learning is built upon throughout a child's educational experience . Through our partnership in your child's education I am looking forward to another successful year of teaching and learning.
I have two sons, Kevin and Zachary. My oldest, Kevin, lives in Boulder, CO where he works as a Software Engineer. Zachary is in his final semester of his Master's program in Environmental Sciences. I love spending time with them! I also enjoy reading, hiking, cooking, going to flea markets, and spending time with my friends. I'm so looking forward to this school year and working with your children.
